A 3D printer can make almost anything; the hard part is the file. Labs is where we work on that — tools that generate the piece for you out of something you already have, so you do not need to know how to model in 3D to order something made for you.

How we work in here

We start from what people ask for
Every tool comes out of a job that keeps repeating. When the same custom piece is asked for three times and always begins with "I do not have the file", there is something worth automating.

We generate it rather than model it
The tool builds the geometry out of real data — a track, a map, a date — in your browser or inside the program you already work in. You see the piece before you commit to anything, and what you see is exactly the file that gets printed.

It ends in the ordinary order
Prices and ordering are the usual ones: choose material, colour and finish, see the price instantly, and we print it in our Barcelona workshop. No surcharge for using the lab.
Why we bother
Most people who want a one-off part cannot use CAD, and paying somebody to model it costs more than printing it. That rules out nearly everything anyone would actually enjoy owning. Every tool in here removes a step: if the data already exists somewhere, the file should be able to make itself.
